I'm Hester. A photographer who traveled the world, explored my favorite places over and over again until I ended up settling down in one of them - Morocco.

A lot of people ask me why I chose this place, but I can't really explain. I think I speak for a lot of people when I just say, it keeps drawing you back. There are multiple things: the people, the landscapes, the sun. And for me maybe even most of all, the surf.

While traveling, I always found myself happiest in a little surftown. I chose destinations on the option of being able to paddle out and kept coming back to the places that I loved most.

So am I a traveler? Yes. But not in a 'I want to tick as many countries off my list as possible' way. More in a way of coming back to the same places, deepening my bond with the culture and people and finding the extra-ordinary that's mostly skipped in fast travel.

Because for me it's more about slowing down enough to find that hidden layer that makes a place even more beautiful.

Focused on coastal living, surf photography and authentic moments.

Because as I already said, that's where I always found my happy place. And maybe you can find yours as well, through my lens.
